Our Lab Christmas Gathering

Amid busy schedules, experiments, deadlines, and travel, we finally have the chance to pause and reflect on a moment that reminded us of what truly sustains a research group: people, connection, and shared purpose.

As a research group working across personalised medicine, microfluidics, liquid biopsy, tumour microenvironment modelling, drug prediction, wearable technologies, and AI-driven medicine, our work spans diverse disciplines and approaches. What unites us is a shared commitment to advancing biomedical engineering in ways that can make a tangible clinical impact. Moments like this remind us that progress is not only driven by data and innovation, but also by trust, teamwork, and mutual support.

As we move into what we see as a year of change, we are optimistic that these transitions—both within the lab and in the broader scientific landscape—will fuel positive growth and even greater impact in 2026. We look forward to strengthening existing collaborations, welcoming new ideas, and continuing to push boundaries in research that matters.

Thank you to every member of the lab for your dedication, resilience, and contributions over the past year. Here’s to building on this momentum and moving forward together.
